    Central Govt. announced on 25th of July 2017 in Loksabha that Ministry Of HRD Minister Shri Prakash Javdekar took decision that all the teachers, woking in Govt. or Private Schools must possess a valid B.Ed Degree with them else they are not allowed to be on Job. The bill related to this has been passed successfully in Loksabha. The bill has to be introduced in Rajyasabha soon. The min. eligibity to get a teaching job in any school is B.Ed from any recognized University. Those who have not secured a B.Ed degree can get the same by 31-03-2019. Teachers who are teaching without requisite eligibity are under strict scanning.

The candidates who are pursuing the program feel that the Govt. has taken a biased decision. Earlier the program was of One year of duration but suddenly NCTE ammended the law Nation wide by changing the B.Ed duration from One year to Two years. Now the Govt. is strict and stood firm on its decision. The Govt. is imposing strict norms on the teachers at large who are teaching in B.Ed colleges. As per sources the faculty must have M.Ed degree along with NET and Ph.d.

As per Section 22(1) of the UGC Act, only a University established by an Act of Parliament or the State Legislature or an Institution deemed to be a University or an Institution especially empowered by an Act of the Parliament is entitled to award degrees. Students and the public are hereby informed that the UGC has identified, 21 self-styled, unrecognized institutions in nine states, which are functioning in contravention of the provisions of the UGC Act. All these institutions have been declared as fake.
